I’m reading Rabbit, Run by John Updike, as part of the Rabbit Angstrom four-book collected edition I got from Amazon, and it’s really incredible. The sense of just diving into not only a very specific world of America in the 1970s, or something, but also diving into all the thoughts, the streaming thoughts, of the main character.
